Adults Faith Formation meet in the sanctuary for Western District Conference Assembly reporting and discussion.
11:45 p.m.—Mennonite College Task Force Fundraiser meal
12:30 p.m.—Congregational meeting. Come hear our college students share their experiences, learn about the ministries we will support through our annual budget which will be offered for approval, affirm those willing to serve in the ministries at Tabor and hear an update from the Financial Task Force. This is our church at work. Praise be to God!
Do you have gently used Lego blocks that are needing a home? Donate them to the Financial Task Force by putting them in the basket in the foyer.
Review for Pastor Rosie Jantz. The deacons have initiated a review process of Pastor Rosie. You should have received an electronic questionnaire in your email on November 1. Paper copies were placed in mailboxes for those without email and additional copies can be found on the table in the foyer. When completed, paper copies can be placed in the clearly marked box in the foyer. Please complete the questionnaire by November 22.
Meat Canning this year will be on November 9 and 10. Sign up on the bulletin board to volunteer. If you wish to make a monetary contribution, checks can be made out to Tabor Mennonite Church, earmarked “MCC meat canning”, and placed in the truck in the foyer. Contact Kenton Nickel with any questions.
Tabor Mennonite Women: All women are welcome to come out on Monday, November 16 at 7:00p.m. We will be having Berni Kaufman come and talk about “Sister Care International” and her trip to South America.
Blankets for MCC: Ladies, do you have fabric you are willing to give to make blankets for MCC? We can use any length as long as we can cut a 6 1/2 inch block. We will cut the blocks at our January meeting. We will need several quilt tops for tying at the following meeting. Bring the fabric to the basement north closet or the January meeting. For questions talk to Norma Graber or Sharon Adrian.
MCC Refugee Kits: Mid-November, the Youth Group will be assembling refugee kits for Syrian refugees. The congregation is warmly invited to provide items for these kits. Thank you! A list of items can be found at: http://mcc.org/get-involved/kits/relief or, shopping lists are posted on the bulletin board for you to take.

Pledge Cards: The Finance Task Force has placed a secured mailbox in the foyer to receive your pledge cards. We also remind everyone that donations to the Facility Fund are best placed in the offering with a memo note indicating “Facility Fund”.

Harvey County Homeless Shelter volunteer appreciation event at Hesston Mennonite Church on Saturday, November 14th, 6pm. RSVP to Pam and Brent Abrahams if you plan to attend.
Goessel Community Thanksgiving: It is just one more week until the Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, November 15, 5:00-6:30 p.m. We still need more food items. The sign-up deadline is TODAY, November 8. Please bring your turkey or ham to the church kitchen and put it in the refrigerator TODAY. Salads, breads and desserts may be brought to the church kitchen by noon on Sunday, November 15 or to the Goessel Elementary school by 4:00 p.m. on that day. If you have questions, please contact a member of the Meal Planning Team: Keith and Barb Banman, Linda Peters, Janice Funk Voth, Becky Wedel, Lynette Duerksen. Monetary donations are welcome to help cover expenses. Write your check out to “Goessel Ministerial Alliance” and give it to the church office. There will be an opportunity at this event to give a donation to the Goessel Ministerial Alliance (GMA) so we can continue to help families in our community. Thank you, everyone! Christmas Brass: Plan to join us at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church on Sunday, December 13 at 7pm for an evening of Christmas Brass, Carols,

« Western District Conference: Pray for God’s guidance for the Church Planting Commission, Stewardship Commission, and Executive Board as they each meet this week to plan for the work of WDC.
« Mennonite Mission Network: Praise God for Israel College of the Bible, “the first Hebrew-language Bible college since the days of the disciples,” says a MMN professor. Pray that the Arab Christian and Messianic Jewish students who study together will also be peace-builders in the Middle East.
« Mennonite Education Agency: Pray for Goshen College students and employees as they engage in nonstop prayer during Prayer Odyssey this week.
Actions taken at WDC Delegate Assembly, October 31, 2015:
–Delegates approved by a 72% vote the resolution from Rainbow Mennonite Church. 185 delegates voted yes, with 30 of these noting that they do not support same-sex marriage. 72 voted no, with 4 of these noting they support same-sex marriage. The resolution is as follows:
Be it resolved that the Western District Conference of the Mennonite Church USA, out of respect for the responsibility and commitment “to seek to understand and interpret Scripture in harmony with Jesus Christ as we are led by the Holy Spirit in the church,” upholds the right of individual congregations to discern how homosexuality will be subject to Biblical interpretation, and
Be it further resolved that pastors, with the affirmation of their congregations, consistent with Mennonite polity, and without fear of censure, may officiate or refuse to officiate ceremonies that consecrate before God monogamous, life-long unions, regardless of the sexual orientation of those being united.
