Building Committee Appointed: After the June 4th leadership retreat the Church Council had a short meeting to approve the following people to serve on the building committee: Brent Abrahams, Gayle Funk, Kenton Nickel, Donavon Schmidt, and Emil Schmidt. They will serve as a liaison between the congregation and the contractor. If you would like to make any suggestions for the upcoming building project, they would be willing to visit with you.

Summer Faith Formation begins this Sunday June 18:

—The children will all be meeting together for summer faith formation. We are looking for volunteers! There are opportunities to lead games and crafts as well as be a helper. There are also opportunities to provide snacks. Please check out the sign-up sheets in the foyer.

—Next Sunday, June 25, we will have a field trip to Carol Duerksen and Maynard Knepp’s farm. Parents are welcome and encouraged to come, especially with the younger children. Please contact Pam Abrahams if you have any questions!

—For children’s summer Faith Formation crafts, we are looking for some supplies. If you have scrapbook paper (they do not have to be full sheets; scraps are okay!) or beads (for jewelry) that you would be willing to donate, you could put them on the table in the supply room by July 2. Talk with Krista Graber if you have questions.

Adults: “Jesus is the center of our faith; Community is the center of our life; Reconciliation is the center of our work.” What does it mean to live out these “Anabaptist Essentials” in our daily lives? This will be the topic of our conversation in the elective class offered this summer. If you have signed up for this class, you will find a copy of the book in your mailbox. If you plan to attend but did not sign up, please pick up a book from Pastor Phil. Please read the introduction and chapter 1 for June 25.

Tabor Church Food Pantry: Summer is here! With children spending more time at home, there is greater need for non perishable food donations in our community food pantry. Most needed: boxed meals, boxed potatoes, canned meat, cereal, spaghetti and sauce, ramen noodles, canned fruit, applesauce, corn, peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix, syrup, laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. (We have plenty of green beans and peas at this time.) Cash donations are also welcome for gifts cards to Keith’s Foods, to be used for perishable food items. If no one is available when you bring your food donations, you may leave them in the foyer beneath the coat racks across from the church office. Thank you for your continued support of this vital ministry.

Commodities will be distributed at Goessel Mennonite Church on Friday, June 23 from 5 – 6pm. Enter through the north door to room 8. For more information contact Jenny Girard at 747-0046.
