Children’s Faith Formation would welcome more volunteers to lead games and crafts, provide snack, as well as be a helper for this summer. Please check out the sign-up sheets in the foyer.
We are also looking for some supplies for children’s summer Faith Formation crafts. If you have scrapbook paper (they do not have to be full sheets; scraps are okay!) or beads (for jewelry) that you would be willing to donate, you could put them on the table in the supply room. Also, we are looking for #6 plastic (such as the clear lids that come with aluminum baking pans); please also put those in the supply room. Talk with Krista Graber if you have questions.
The Tabor Mennonite Women will be going to the MCC Center in North Newton on Tuesday, July 18 to have a work morning from 9:00am – 12pm. Please bring snacks for the mid-morning break.

Tabor Church Food Pantry Urgent Needs: Summer is here! With children spending more time at home, there is greater need for non perishable food donations in our community food pantry. Most needed: canned meat, cereal, ramen noodles, mandarin oranges, applesauce, corn, peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix, syrup, laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, and paper grocery bags. (We have plenty of green beans and peas at this time.) Cash donations are also welcome for gifts cards to Keith’s Foods, to be used for perishable food items. If no one is available when you bring your food donations, you may leave them in the foyer beneath the coat racks across from the church office. Thank you for your continued support of this vital ministry.
Friends, family, and guests will be coming to Goessel for Threshing Days! Would you help us (The Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum) feed them on Saturday, August 5? Bakers, servers, and cashiers are needed. Please see the volunteer sheet in your mailbox and respond by July 23. For further questions, contact Aileen Esau (367-2358 or daesau). Thank you!
The Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum will be hosting a South Bloomfield School Reunion and “homecoming” of the school’s stage curtain on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 2:00 p.m., as part of Country Threshing Days. The celebration will be in the South Bloomfield School on the museum grounds, where the recently donated curtain will be on display. This event is open to the public, and refreshments will be served. Former students are especially invited to come to this time of reminiscing.
The museum would like to record stories from students that attended the South Bloomfield One-Room School. Any pranks you remember? Any memorable events? What did you have for lunch? What was recess like in the dead of winter? Consider interviewing a grandparent and submit their memories.
Please send memories to The Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum, P.O. Box 231, Goessel, KS 67053, or email the museum at mhmuseum .
It’s time to celebrate! “Uncle Milt’s Shed” will be celebrating its 15th year of providing kids with make-it-take-it crafts at Threshing Day this August. We are looking to replenish our crafting supplies and need approximately 100 empty/clean tin cans (15-20 oz. sizes—the kinds that come from vegetable/fruit/soups) and calico print fabric. All donated items can be delivered to the Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum (Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-5 pm) or to Susan Nafziger by Friday, July 14. If you have questions, feel free to contact Susan at 367-4623. Thanks for your support!
