Congregational Announcements

Congratulations to Carol Duerksen, Kristin Schmidt, Denise Nickel, Eunice Nickel, Krista Abrahams and Barb Abrahams for completing the 10 week "Step or Stroke" challenge and earning a Dicks Sporting Goods gift card! Together they logged nearly 4 million steps and strokes! Great job!

Silent Auction: Thanks to the planning and oversight of Brent Abrahams, Tabor Junior Highers made a wooden train over the past several Wednesday evenings. The train is on display in the church foyer and is up for silent auction (proceeds going toward Mennonite Central Committee). Simply write your name and bid on the paper next to the train. The silent auction will conclude on Sunday, April 14 at 9:30am.

Tabor Mennonite Women and girls are invited to the annual Spring Salad Supper on Monday, April 15. Please bring a salad for our meal which will begin at 6:00 p.m. Kim Funk, our speaker for the evening, will present "My Life in Shoes". Walk with Kim as she shares memories evoked by ordinary shoes in an everyday life of hopes, challenges, and dreams. It will be a fantastic evening for all ladies and girls! Invite a friend! Contact Barb Banman if you have questions.

Share an Easter Lily in honor of a loved one on Easter Sunday. Names of those to be honored, along with names of those sharing the lilies need to be turned in to the church office by Wednesday, April 17 to be listed in the bulletin. Lilies need to be brought to the church, clearly marked on the bottom with the name of the donor, and left in the foyer by noon on Saturday, April 20.

Last Supper: Come join us for our Holy Week meal and service at 6pm on Thursday, April 18. As we observe the last supper that Jesus shared with his disciples before his death and resurrection, we also acknowledge that this will be one of the last suppers that we eat in the basement fellowship hall. During the service, as we remember the life and ministry of Jesus, we will also take time to remember many meaningful times of fellowship and worship that have taken place in the space.

Spring Work Day: May 4 is the date set for work day at Tabor. Make plans to help with cleaning and clean-up both indoors and outdoors.

It’s time to register for Vacation Bible School! Our theme is "Who is My Neighbor?" Please register by completing a paper registration form and placing it in Pam Abrahams’ mailbox or completing the online registration by following this link. https://forms.gle/KKisSBpjUgGtZvYU6 Thanks so much! Paper forms are also available on the table in the foyer.

Coming this Summer for the children! "Jesus was a kid like me" will be the theme of our summer faith formation time. Come on out, Detectives, and discover the really cool things that you have in common with Jesus as a boy.

Ministry Map: Everyone is invited to participate in the Ministry Map activity hanging on the wall in the foyer! Simply follow the color-key to place a sticker dot where you live, where you work, where you learn, and where you serve (only put one dot per household, per place of employment, per place of learning, and per place of service). Please ask church staff if you have any questions. Also, feel free to ask anyone for help with handling the tiny dots :).
