WDC Annual Assembly will take place July 29-30, Friday evening -Saturday, on the Bethel College campus in North Newton. Please let the pastor’s or Kim know by July 13 if you plan to represent Tabor as a delegate. If you need a registration form, contact the church office. A portion of the registration fees will be reimbursed to delegates. Schedule and registration information is posted on the bulletin board. Summer Faith Formation for children. Please check the sign up sheet on the bulletin board for ways to help this summer.
Tabor Church Wellness: In July and August we are having squat and push up challenges. Use the tracking sheets found by the red wellness sign in the foyer to record the number of squats (July) and modified or regular push ups (August) you do each day. A random participant from each month will be awarded a prize as well as the participant who records the most squats and push ups. Good Luck!
Community Picnic: Come join us for the third annual Goessel Community Picnic, TODAY, July 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the Goessel Park. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. Drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share, table service and lawn chairs. « Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for Youth Venture participants and leaders as they learn from, serve alongside, and worship with host communities in Lithuania and Los Angeles this month. This is a MMN program for youth, ages 14-22.
« Mennonite Education Agency: Pray for youth, young adults, and leaders as they plan to travel to Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana for Deep Faith: a formation conference for and by Anabaptist formation leaders. May their travel be safe and their time together be fruitful.
Western District Conference Annual Assembly:
July 15 is the deadline to register to eat with old and new friends at Western District Conference Annual Assembly July 29-30, at Bethel College, North Newton, KS. Meals are not available for persons who register after July 15. This year’s assembly theme, “Held Together in Mission” will highlight strengthening our fellowship in Christ, and telling stories of how the Spirit is moving among us. —It’s less than a month before all your new friends and old chums are getting together for the Young Adult Weekend at Camp Mennoscah! On July 29-31, young adults age 18 and older will be having a rollicking good time doing all sorts of camp things–swimming, crafts, worship, campfire, making new friends. We’d be thrilled to have you there.
—Mental Health Spiritual Retreat! All those affected by mental illness, including friends and family, are invited to come to Camp Mennoscah on Sept 4-5 for a time of relaxation, worship, fun activities, and friends. Come enjoy a bit of rest in the midst of some of God’s great creation!

Mennonite Central Committee Central States is hiring for a Thrift Shop Coordinator. This position is available starting in August and the position location is flexible within the 16-state Central States region. The Thrift Shop Coordinator is expected to encourage shop operations to grow profitability annually, to assist with problem solving in daily operations, to encourage and advocate for board development and sound policies, and to nurture manager skill development while offering and promoting MCC Thrift Shop Network resources. The Newton Et Cetera Shop is hiring a Sorter/Receiver for 30 hours/week: The sorter/receiver maintains an active presence in the processing area,
in both receiving and sorting donations. He/she will be primarily responsible for sorting through houseware donations, placing items in appropriate price categories, recycling and discarding, as needed.
